Quick Bio

Susan Power is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and a native Chicagoan.  She recieved an A.B. from Harvard/Radcliffe, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an M.F.A. from the Iowa Witers' Workshop.  Her short fiction has been publihsed in The Atlantic Monthly, The Paris Review, Story, and The Best American Short Stories 1993.  She is currently a Bunting Institute Fellow in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her  literary debut, The Grass Dancer (Putnam), won the Ernest Hemingway Foundation Award in 1995.
