Sub-Genre Type: Fantasy

It's funny but as much as I love fantasy today, I was a late
reader. Science Fiction I was absorbing even before
I could read from shows on TV, but Fantasy was not as common in the 50s
and 60s. Still, I can well rememberin the 70s fellow English majors at
ENC (Eastern Nazarene College) thinking me "unread" because I had not yet
gotten around to Tolkien. Now I love this genre, but it may surprise you
some of the works that I include below as examples of Fantasy.
