Comments: Probably one of the most entertaining and challenging speakers within our faith today is Tony Campolo. His writing also combines these two qualities. Lively, humorous, his work always winds up with a solid punch at Christian mediocrity, Tony examines the Americanization in culture and the Capitalization in economics of modern Christianity. However, he knows his audience and presents these concerns in forms accessible to the average reader. I use this collection of essays as a counter-balance to the essays in Living in the USA , ReReading America. and now American Lives, American Issues. Tony covers a number of over-lapping subjects and incorporates many of the concerns overlooked or even disregarded in many academic essay texts.
