Mount Vernon Nazarene College's Guide on How to Use the Computer As a Research Tool

This web sight was designed by Dr. Anderson M. Rearick III to assist students in acquiring some of the rudimentary skills needed tin order to take advantage of the new doorways to information now available through systems connected to computers.

This is a Hyper-text document which means that different pages can be accessed by clicking words of different colors from the standard black.

No specific order is demanded in the review of information although for research purposes I recommend learning to take full advantage of the NIFTY system first since that is where a lot of information in hard copy which has passed before professionals and deemed trust worthy can be found. Sometimes when no entrance to a new document is clearly mentioned the blue text suggests that further information is available in the glossary and can be reached by clicking on the word in question.

A special thanks to the Librarians:

Special thanks must be extended here to Ms. Jain Tan from whose library lectures some of the important information was drawn which began this project. Also a special thanks must be extended to Ms. Sylvia Locher and other members of the library staff whose expertise helped me finish this project. AMR3
